Recommendations for NSC 2019

IIE annually convenes National Screening Committees to review Fulbright U.S. Student applications and recommend candidates as semi-finalists to the award sponsors. It is important to us to have a diverse range of institutions represented on these committees. We are very interested in your recommendations of faculty that you believe would be interested in and capable of serving on the committee. 

The qualifications to serve on the various types of NSC committee are listed below. FPAs are welcome to serve on NSC committees, provided they meet these criteria.

Academic Study/Research Committee
  • Full-time, tenured faculty
  • Associate Professor or above
  • World Region/Country Expertise, including living, working or study abroad
  • All fields and disciplines
  • Special committees for Science, Architecture, Creative Writing, Business (Mexico)
 
English Teaching Assistant Committee
  • Full-time, tenured faculty
  • Associate Professor or above
  • World Region/Country Expertise, including living, working or study abroad
  • Specializing in language/literature, linguistics, ESL/TESOL, etc
 
Arts Study/Research Committees
  • Committees for each Arts award category (Music fields are usually instrument training and/or performance-based projects)
  • Full or part-time faculty
  • Significant professional experience
  • Experience living, working or study abroad
