IIE Survey on U.S. Student Participation in Education Abroad Activities in China

IIE invites you to participate in a new survey on U.S. student participation in education abroad activities in China in the 2011 calendar year (including summer 2011). For the purposes of this survey, education abroad includes any type of educational activity that has a learning component, including both credit-bearing study and non-credit activities such as research, volunteering and study tours. Please note that this survey is different from the Open Doors Study Abroad Survey. With a growing interest in educational exchange with China, a comprehensive count of U.S. students participating in a range of educational activities will provide a more complete picture of U.S. student mobility to China. The survey results will also allow you to benchmark your institutional engagement with China. We encourage you to complete the survey for all categories for which you have data, even if the data is not complete. If you are not responsible for keeping records of this data at your institution, please forward this survey to the appropriate office(s) at your institution.

Please send any questions or comments to Raisa Belyavina, Senior Research Officer, at atlas@iie.org.
